This is a great place to go and see art from local people. They have an outstanding art collection from students at the elementary, junior high and senior high schools. They have activities where school kids and girl and boy scouts may come and do art activities with the staff. They also offer tours to the school children who come with their classes.

Cedar Falls is a nice community because the government spends money on attractions like the Hearst center, which is a tiny museum that allows art to be displayed locally. While a lot of what's there is from up and coming artists, some of the work inside looks nice. The sculptures outside aren't indiciative of the general quality of the work presented here.

For the people who always think that there is nothing to do in the Cedar Valley, here is a hidden jewel. This art gallary has a great collection of art as well as super classes for youth to adult. This is also a great place to hold an event as there is a smaller room that can be used and then your guests can enjoy the art before and after the event. They also have a great outside collection of art.
